While his achievement highlighted the bounds of human courage and exploration, it also sparked profound reflections on the nature of God. Nikita Khrushchev used Gagarin’s journey to argue against the existence of God, while figures like John Glenn and C.S. Lewis reminded us that knowing God transcends physical sight.

This morning, we explore three elements in our understanding of God:

1. The Creator’s Perspective

2. A Finite Mind vs. Infinite Truth

3. The Help We Got

1. The Creator’s Perspective

Key Thought:

We cannot know God through human effort alone. Sin has severed our ability to comprehend Him fully without divine intervention.

• C.S.
