This desire must be deeply personal and connected to our relationship with God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scripture Reference: Psalm 146<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three Key Points: Rights, Responsibilities, and Privileges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I. Rights &#8211; What Motivates Us?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Historical Context:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>George Washington\u2019s motivation for liberty was grounded in personal conviction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Declaration of Independence highlights unalienable rights: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, endowed by our Creator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146 Context:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:3: Do not put trust in mortal men.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:4-5: Mortality is evident, God is our true help.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:6: God as Creator gives us freedom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Genesis 1:28: Freedom to move, multiply, and exist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>John 8:31-32: Truth and freedom through God\u2019s word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>II. Responsibilities &#8211; The Other Side of Rights<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Societal Focus:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsibilities to act against tyranny and uphold justice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>George Washington\u2019s resistance to oppression and ensuring justice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146 Actions of God:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:7-9: Justice, food for the hungry, freedom to prisoners, healing, and protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reflection on Suffering:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our view of the oppressed, hungry, and prisoners must change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus\u2019 compassion for sinners and the outcast as an example.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:2: Praise God while we live, reflecting true admiration for His character.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>III. Privileges &#8211; Recognition of God\u2019s Place<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sense of Duty and Honor:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>George Washington\u2019s sense of duty and personal honor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our privilege to serve God, His church, and our community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146 Parallelism:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psalm 146:1, 10: Praise the Lord as a recognition of His authority, power, and blessings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reflection Questions<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our Message:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How does the universal desire for freedom manifest in your personal spiritual journey?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In what ways can you make your relationship with God more personal and intimate?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our Conduct:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How do you respond to the injustices and sufferings you see around you?
