The Glory of Service – Part 3

Scripture Reference: Romans 10:14-15

• Romans 10:14-15: “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”

• The call to service is a divine invitation to share the Gospel.

• Everyone is called to participate in the work of the Kingdom, not just pastors.

2. The Call to Serve

• Service is a natural response to a transformed life in Christ.

• Many believers become spiritually stagnant due to comfort, fear, or complacency.

• The personal testimony of Pastor Kern: resisting God’s call, then surrendering to full-time ministry.

3. Overcoming Barriers to Service

• Comfort: Avoiding service due to ease of life.

• Fear: Uncertainty and challenges in stepping out in faith.

• Excuses: Thinking others are more qualified or waiting for the “right time.”

• God’s Persistent Call: He uses various means to remind us of our purpose.

1. Will you commit to being open to God’s leading, even if it’s uncomfortable?

2. How will you seek clarity in understanding God’s will for your life?

3. What sacrifices might you need to make in order to serve more effectively?

1. Surrender: Ask God to remove fear and hesitation in answering His call to serve.

2. Empowerment: Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to be an effective witness.

3. Commitment: Seek God’s strength to remain faithful in the mission of spreading the Gospel.
